PP cards, or pull pack cards, are made by Amanda. These cards come individualy wrapped in envelopes tied together by a string (as apposed to in a packets in a box like the collection series or packets in a box to be put into a machine like the carddass cards). The storekeep would hang this pack up and allow the children to pull an envelope for 20 yen. no machines were neccessary but full-time supervision was mandatory so these cards were popular among mom and pop shops in Japan. For collectors a complete set of regulars could easily be collected by buying one packet but the packet would definately not have all the prisms. Usually (with a little luck) most of the prisms and definetely all the regulars could be purchased with two packets for 3,000 yen.
With an exception of a few sets the sets are clearly marked with Part 1 - Part 32. This is the easiest way to distinguish the PP cards and the set it belongs to because everything else about the cards front and back has changed numerous times. However the card numbering has been continuous from the beggining with no double numbers making numbering very clear.
